Welcome to Unit 2 CrossFit. We were voted best CrossFit gym in Atlanta in the 2011 Creative Loafing Reader's Choice awards. Our gym is located in Midtown Atlanta, GA. Unit 2 has been helping people reach their fitness goals since 2007. Our training methodologies are a combination of CrossFit and Mixed Martial Arts Strength and Conditioning. The result is a program that gives the general public the kind of training once reserved only for elite professional combat athletes.
Our trainers are professional fighters and martial artists so our CrossFit program focuses on getting the maximum athletic performance while being as light as possible. The result is maximizing the 10 general physical skills while being exceptionally tone, light and without any overly large bulky muscles.
Our CrossFit class length varies each day between 30-50 minutes depending on the WOD (Workout of the Day). We recognize that our client's time is scarce so we have tailored our program to provide the maximum results with the least amount of time commitment necessary each day. Each and every day the WOD is different. One day you might be doing heavy Olympic lifts, the next day interval sprints, and the day after that gymnastic moves. We do this to maximize neurological and hormonal adaptations across all metabolic pathways. It also keeps the program interesting and engaging each and every day.
